Youth members working hard for funds and recruits
The under Sixteens and I had a stall in Lowestoft High Street on Saturday morning from 10 to 1.30pm for the launch of JUMP a new local youth group. Other youth groups where invited to have a stall and promote the Junior Club and sell their raffle tickets for their tour.
Six members of the team and their Manager Mike and his assistant plus myself and my kids managed to raise £120 in sales of raffle tickets. We spoke to a large number of parents and young people and had an excellent response promoting the Club.
We made some excellent contacts as well in particular with a local Cheer Leading group who have requested that the be allowed to come and support some Youth and Mini's games.
I am hoping to do some more of these events and am going to ask Asda and Tesco’s if we could possibly hold an event at their stores.
I am arranging for the Cheer Leading group to come to the next Mini’s home game when Holt and Ipswich are coming. It should enhance the atmosphere with a bit of razzmatazz.
